We are the UKs leading B2B Japanese koi carp supplier. As the company continues to grow and expand, we are recruiting for a talented, self-motivated individual with a passion for Koi to join our team as a Fish House Livestock Assistant.

· Position: Fish House Livestock Assistant

· Location: Laneham, Retford, Nottinghamshire, DN22 0NL

· Job Type: Full time, permanent

· Salary: £18 - 25K dependant on experience

Due to the nature of this position, applicants must have demonstrable knowledge of caring for fish livestock and working in the aquatics industry.

Job responsibilities

As the successful applicant you will be responsible for a range of areas, including:

· Fish husbandry (medicating, diagnosis, feeding, etc) · Fish house maintenance (water testing, filter cleaning, water changes, food preparation, etc) · Preparing orders for distribution (picking, preparing packing materials, courier booking, packing, etc) · Website sales support (selecting offers, photographing, preparing images and video, uploading to the website) · Dealing with customers (special requests, site visits, etc) · The post holder will also be responsible for general site cleanliness/maintenance and other ad-hoc tasks as required as part of working for a small and dedicated professional team.

About you

The role will be largely based in the company’s expansive fish houses and will require you to have:

Essential skills

· Demonstrable knowledge of caring for fish livestock · Experience of working in the aquatics industry · Care and attention when looking after valuable livestock · Excellent customer facing skills · Ability to manage your time efficiently · Basic MS Office computer skills

Desirable skills

· Photography and photo editing experience · Website back office experience

Full training will be provided to help you develop your skills and knowledge to meet the company’s high standards.
