In collaboration with Sunny Bank Koi, we’re excited to announce an upcoming Sakai Fish Farm Grow-Out event at their shop in Congleton, Cheshire! Sakai is considered by many to be the best Koi farm in the world, and with so many Grand Champions under their belt, who can disagree!
For this event, Ricky has personally selected 100 pieces of Kohaku and Sanke tosai from the farm. The fish are an extraordinary batch of tosai that Ricky sourced earlier this year, none of which have been released for sale yet. All Koi will come with a Koi Wholesale certificate of authenticity.
Tickets
Tickets to take part are priced £150 each, and with only 80 tickets available we’re expecting a high level of demand. Hobbyists can buy as many tickets as they would like, they will be available to buy on the Sunny Bank Koi website from 9am on Sunday 21 May. All fish will come with a Koi Wholesale certificate of authenticity.
Pictures of all of the Sakai Koi will be available to view on the Sunny Bank Koi website ahead of the event. Visit their website on this link.
The lucky draw
When you’ve purchased a ticket you will be entered into a lucky draw to allocate your timeslot for choosing your fish at the event. Timeslots will be allocated in advance of the day.
On the day
On 11 June the event will start at 10am. Ricky will be at the Sunny Bank Koi store to provide specialist guidance and recommendations to any hobbyists taking part as it reaches their allocated timeslot. If you’re not able to attend on the day Ricky is available to pick on your behalf, or you can submit your list of preferred Koi ahead of the day.
Fish can then be taken home on the day or shipped afterwards, dependant on arrangements with Sunny Bank Koi.
The grow-out competition
Following the event, hobbyists will be asked to submit pictures and measurements of how their fish have grown by 31 October 2023. The fish will then be judged by Ricky and four winners will be selected. The four prizes are Grand Champion, Reserve Champion, Best Tategoi, and Best Growth.
Don’t miss it!
Tickets will be available to buy on the Sunny Bank Koi website from 21 May. Don’t delay and risk missing out!
